Rapidly changing technology and shifting demographics are impacting the way we live and work. These disruptors magnify our social problems, but they also create new opportunities. We need new innovative and collaborative approaches to drive meaningful change to ensure everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
LEAP | Pecaut Centre for Social Impact is Canada’s leader in venture philanthropy. Like venture capitalists, we invest in innovative problem solvers that are going to change the world. Our investments are in high potential, high impact social enterprises that have the promise to deliver outsized social returns. We bring our expertise and track record to support ambitious leaders that want to change the world. This includes access to the best private sector professionals and our networks to ensure they have everything they need to succeed.
In this session we will:
- Discuss the value of co-creating and implementing strategies and plans to support, coaching and build capacity to accelerate and scale impactful ventures.
- Share examples of LEAP’s experience in Canada in collaboration with sector partners (BCG, Hill & Knowlton Strategies, EY, McCarthy Tétrault, Offord Group, Google) and our 15 ventures
To date, LEAP has invested in 15 nonprofits, improved the lives of over 100,000 Canadians, achieved $100mm in societal impact, unlocked $12mm in pro bono services and influenced $55 million in donations towards portfolio ventures
We have a proven track record: Our ventures have grown their impact by between 4x and 10x through their involvement with LEAP. Each dollar donated has 4x the impact as it unlocks professional pro bono services.
