Inclusive Training During a Crisis: Providing Distance Education to Entrepreneurs with Limited Access to Technology
You voted for thisThe COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying restrictions on in-person activities have highlighted the need to find ways to provide effective remote support to entrepreneurs. Often, however, business incubation and acceleration programs have focused on training for participants with access to laptops, tablets, and stable internet connections. How can we design inclusive, effective distance learning programs for participants who only have smartphones or feature phones? Drawing from on-the-ground experiences in Latin America, Africa, and India, this interactive session will explore real case studies and highlight lessons that will help us ensure that the move to remote support doesn’t leave the most vulnerable entrepreneurs behind.
