Climate Change Mitigation and Resilience Through Public Private Partnerships
You voted for this5 panelists from public agencies whose roles are focused on climate change mitigation and resilience will address the challenges of collaborating with the private sector to fund shovel-ready projects. To truly scale up impact investing in water, power, transportation, solid waste and wildfire-related projects, impact investors need to understand how to work with the public sector despite rigid procurement processes. The goals of this session are to (1) educate impact investors on the types of public climate change-related projects that can be implemented today; (2) the public procurement process, and (3) facilitate a discussion on how the public sector and impact investors can adapt to and work with one another. Our goal is to facilitate a robust dialogue between public agency sustainability managers and impact investors on these key subjects. We will present three unfunded, existing projects to launch this dialogue.
