Creating Better Structures for Better Resiliency
You voted for thisThis interactive session will explore the role of blended finance in mobilizing capital towards developing projects, while enabling cooperation, collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement. We’ll kick-off with a sweeping view of the field, noting some of the innovative, scalable, blended transactions that have hit the global market, and review the mandates of the catalytic and commercial actors in these deals. Then, participants will then break out into small group sessions, each focused on a recently closed or live blended transaction led by one of the participants of that transaction to deep-dive into the:
- Structuring
- Terms and negotiation points of each player in the deal
- Fundraising strategy used by deal sponsors seeking catalytic and commercial capital and, how they overcame inherent barriers
- Tension between innovation and standardization
